Twenty-six Special Economic Zones (SEZ) in Telangana out of the 48 such facilities notified in the State have become operational. The Development Commissioner of the Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry, based at the Visakhapatnam SEZ in Duvvada, said this urging the State government to nominate officials to participate in meetings concerning the facilities. The 26 SEZs have become operational following the units in the Zones commencing exports.
