If everything goes well, IT major Infosys will launch its operations for the entire northern region from Noida, two years from now. A team of officials from Infosys met Deepak Agarwal, CEO, Noida Authority, on Tuesday and submitted a revised layout plan for its Noida campus — the largest in north India.
Later, speaking to TOI, Agarwal said the layout will be approved as soon as possible to enable the company to begin its construction and operations without delay.
The IT giant is headed to Noida with a total investment of Rs 5,000 crore, of which Rs 2,500 crore will be invested in the first phase. The campus is proposed to be built on a 28-acre plot and will be the company’s headquarters in northern India.
According to Agarwal, Infosys was allotted 1.11 lakh sq m of land in Sector 85, Noida, in January 2014. The company invested Rs 1,354 crore to acquire the land, which consists of six plots in A block of Sector 85.
